In The News: Etihad extends Sabre deal to include airberlin
Etihad Airways will expand its deal with Sabre to offer a range of technical solutions to its German partner, airberlin.
Under the US$1 billion agreement signed between Etihad and Sabre in December 2011, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier will gain access to Sabre’s latest reservations, inventory, marketing, planning, e-commerce, distribution and departure control software.
Having recently become the largest shareholder in airberlin, Etihad will now offer the German carrier access to a range of these solutions. This includes offering Sabre agencies real-time access to airberlin flights and ancillary content, and partner access to consulting resources.
